Your Basileia

Updated: Mar 27

Welcome to Basileia Counseling, where faith intertwines with therapeutic healing, igniting the journey toward inner peace. For the high-achieving Christian woman, life often whirls with ambitions, responsibilities, and obligations, occasionally accompanied by the unwelcome guest of anxiety—a formidable force threatening to erode your sense of purpose and well-being. You may even wonder, "How can I continue to give my all and feel empty at the end of the day?"

With the proper techniques and thought processes, you don't have to. Within you lies a reservoir of strength and resilience waiting to be kindled. Amidst life's tempests, you can unlock the gates of peace within a safe, therapeutic haven where authenticity reigns supreme. Therapy is about being honest with where you are and taking off the mask of measure, where you are constantly judging your performance. Am I measuring up to my expectations and those put on me by others? Guess what? In virtual therapy with me, it is okay to be honest about your anxious thoughts and battles with perfectionism and depression. Isn't that a relief? Where else can you put your superwoman cape on the coat rack and ask for the assistance you need?

Now, we can strengthen your inner basileia, your authority to manage your emotions.

In moments when inner peace seems distant, your faith becomes a beacon of hope, guiding you to healing and restoration. Can faith and therapy coexist? Yes, they can. Beginning therapy is an act of faith—a step into the unknown, trusting in the process of growth and transformation. Your journey of self-discovery begins with a consultation. Together, we'll unravel the tangled threads of anxious thoughts and delve into the root causes of your anxiety with courage and compassion. In vulnerability lies strength as we embrace your wounds and seek healing together. You don't have to unravel internally and undervalue your ability to live in balance and still reach your desired goals.

You're not alone. According to the U.S. Census Bureau's Household Pulse Survey, in 2023, approximately one-third of adults experienced symptoms indicative of anxiety and depression. Among these individuals, nearly half were aged 18 to 24, while 38% fell within the 25 to 49 age bracket. Moreover, 29.3% were between 50 and 64 years old, with 20.1% being 65 years or older.

These statistics underscore the prevalence of anxiety and depression symptoms among adults and emphasize the importance of seeking support and guidance. I am dedicated to providing a nurturing and empathetic environment where you can confront your fears, explore your emotions, and embark on a journey towards inner peace. Together, we'll work towards reclaiming your sense of wholeness and rediscovering the joy and fulfillment life has to offer. Take the courageous step forward and reach out for the support you deserve.
